this is not about love

Anh's dogs. They're awesome.

This painting is a little too precious, in terms of content and the way I painted it. I need more mess. Maybe I should paint ugly dogs next time.

diana ho

is awesome! See her skills here. I love this Flight of the Conchords poster she made. And everything else she does.

I got off on a tangent making a lot of ink drawings, I'll post some here tomorrow...but I'm looking to make some more paintings that look like some of the earlier stuff I was doing. circa aug. 2008?

I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

The Lumberjack by victor kerlow

This comic is super pretty! Have a look here. He's a comic making machine! You'll have to subscribe to that handy RSS business, I can't publish a post every time the man updates...though I want to.

I Saw You: Comics Inspired by Real-Life Missed Connections
with Julia Wertz, Gabrielle Bell, Tom Hart, Sam Henderson, Abby Denson, Neil Swaab, and about a dozen other cartoonists!

The book is really good, and you can feel like a creep by reading it on the train and cackling to yourself, as I did. But if you can't make it out to Brooklyn tonight for free autographs and cookies, get a copy at your neighborhood bookseller. Like, that guy on the corner with the blanket with stuff on it. He might have a copy.

don't tell my cat i dreamt of a cute puppy

Pretty pictures by Stepanie Leibowitz.

One of my favorites.

People I love who make comics!

I saw Patrick in real life (not on a social networking website, I have to specify) at the library and I realized I never talk about all these crazy talented cartoonists I know. Check them out!

The fabulously talented and sharp-dressed Patrick Glass. Get your classy pigeons here.

The immensely wonderful Nate Doyle! Check out his lines!

The sultry and mysterious comic-making temptress, Jen Tong. Her Orifice comic is so creepy. In a good way.

Victor MK's Ponda Baba comic, via his really awesome blog.

Everything Jon Vermilyea touches turns to gold.

These luchas are the start of my valentine sketches. I'm pretty sure this is entertaining only to me.

OH Andrew...

It doesn't look a thing like him but I will say I had alot of fun.

I was thinking of silkscreening some valentines on saturday.

I miss painting. I feel like I'm going in two directions at once.

i'll fly away

i have been taking my sweet time on this painting, and I'm still not quite there yet.

i'm itching to make some new stuff with more texture and crunchy surfaces.

if you get the opportunity before march 14, it's worth your time to check out Peter Doig here and here.
